Bansky is an unidentified English street artist and political activist, who creates the majority of his work through stencils. Through his artwork, he promotes for social awareness and makes fun of what society has deemed important. In his creations he often presents truth, freedom and equality.

 

Though he has a large following with a lot of positive feedback on his art, he also receives a substantial amount of negative views as well, due to his controversial themes. Whether one likes his art or not, it cannot be denied that Banksy has had a huge international impact on the graffiti and street art world. Bansky pushes the envelopes and peoples' minds which causes them to second guess society's standards. It allows him to continue to evolve as an artist.
